Interface on top of split screen playfields

Interface on top of split screen playfields

Hi,
In my game I have some background playfield which shows nothing but the background colour, and on top of it 4 other playfields, each with a virtual resolution of 1280x768.

No layers since I don't need them for now.
I'd like to display an interface (a few iGuiButtons) on top of it all, I thought I'd be able to but at the moment I have no clue about how to do it. Can you please help me?

You can create an extra playfield on top and add gui components to that... Make sure this playfields AutoCLs is turned off.

Would it be a transparent Playfield then?
(EDIT : adding something like

Self.playfieldinterface = New iPlayfield
   Self.playfieldinterface.AttachLast(Self)
   Self.playfieldinterface.AutoCls(False)
   Self.playfieldinterface.Virtual(1280, 768, True)

just adds some solid playfield hiding all the other ones behind, and I see no effect in changing Self.playfieldinterface.AutoCls(False) to Self.playfieldinterface.AutoCls(True))
I like IgnitionX and my game wouldn't be the same without it but there a lot of finer points I don't really get while using it, sorry about that :oops:

(EDIT2 : I can use small playfields whose size are just a part of the size of the display, it kinda works, each playfield showing a button for example, but I guess you are suggesting something better than that)

Yes, if AutoCls is turned off it should be transparant.

You won't need to look at my messy code since I found out what was wrong! For no reason at some point long ago I had put a Cls 255, 0, 0 line inside OnRender() in the engine code, so indeed the newest upper playfield was red...
Now everything looks fine. Thanks a lot for your help and for still supporting Ignition X, we couldn't do much without your help everytime there is something unclear about it...
